This position is remote with hybrid schedule per quarter.Salary is DOE Position Overview: Senior Staff Accountant will assist with all aspects of the financial accounting process including general ledger, insurance accounting, fixed assets, financial reporting and various business lifecycle in operations. Candidates should have a minimum of 4 years of experience in general ledger accounting, proficiency in Netsuite platform, and advanced skills in MS Excel.Responsibilities:Manage and oversee the daily operations of the general ledger accounting functionsPerform month-end closing activities, including journal entries, account reconciliations, and financial statement preparationEnsure accuracy and compliance with accounting standards and company policiesCompile information for internal accounting, AP, AR and cash dashboards, cash accounting and reconciliations.Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support annual audits, financial reporting and analysisAssist in the implementation and optimization of Netsuite platform for accounting processesProvide guidance and mentorship to junior accounting staff, participate in ad-hoc projects and initiatives as neededQualifications:Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related fieldMinimum of 4 years of experience in general ledger accountingMinimum of 3 years advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel (V-Lookups, Pivot Tables, Macros)Minimum of 2 years sales and use tax reportingPREFERREDNetsuitePayroll, cessions and retro reporting for insurance or service contracts
