This role will contribute to conceptualizing, evaluating, implementing, and managing thermal systems. If this role sounds like it would be a good fit, submit an application for consideration!Responsibilities:Undertake the creation and execution of Thermal and CFD simulations aimed at predicting fluid dynamics, heat transmission, and associated phenomena crucial to bolstering the evolution of the High-Elevation Platform Hub (HEPH).Execute analyses involving CFD and thermal aspects, with the intent of refining blueprints and elevating the efficiency and dependability of HEPH sub-systems.Engage in collaborative ventures with cross-disciplinary groups to seamlessly integrate CFD simulations into the design workflow.Maintain up-to-date familiarity with the latest strides in Thermal engineering methodologies and technologies, particularly those suited for the advancement of HEPH or analogous undertakings.Conduct rapid-turnaround manual and spreadsheet computations for instances where prompt results are requisite.Draft comprehensive technical documents and deliver presentations elucidating discoveries to invested parties.Desired QualificationsA solid command of fluid mechanics, heat transfer, and pertinent principles as they relate to aerospace frameworks.Familiarity with programming languages like Python, Matlab, or C++.Acquaintance with avant-garde resolutions to existing thermal and flow predicaments encountered within aerospace contexts.Proficiency in utilizing CFD and thermal analysis software such as COMSOL or ANSYS Fluent.Outstanding prowess in troubleshooting and effective communication.Capability to operate autonomously while also contributing effectively to a multi-faceted collective.Preferred background in multiphase flow, reacting flow, and radiation thermal modeling within the aerospace arena.Highly desirable experience involving thermal experimentation and instrumentation.Preferred familiarity with FEA analysis software, with expertise in tools like Ansys Mechanical/ ABAQUS being a plus.Education and Background:A Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a closely related discipline.A minimum of 4 years of hands-on involvement in Thermal engineering and CFD, preferably in aerospace applications.If this role sounds like a good fit for you, apply today!
