We deliver high-quality unitized curtain wall, storefront, all-glass doors, metal panels, and other architectural glazing solutions to our clients across over 15 states. The Drafter will play a crucial role in our project lifecycle by creating accurate and precise drawings, models, and technical documents for commercial glazing projects. We pride ourselves on fostering a family-oriented atmosphere and are currently undergoing exceptional growth, with several employees who have been part of our team for 20+ years.ResponsibilitiesCollaborate with the engineering and design team to develop detailed drawings and models for commercial glazing projects.Utilize AutoCAD, Revit, or other drafting software to create accurate and precise drawings of unitized curtain wall systems, storefronts, all-glass doors, metal panels, and other architectural glazing components.Interpret architectural and structural drawings, specifications, and project requirements to ensure compliance with building codes and industry standards.Coordinate with project managers, architects, engineers, and subcontractors to resolve design issues and optimize project efficiency.Generate shop drawings, fabrication drawings, and installation details for field personnel and subcontractors.Conduct thorough reviews and quality checks of drawings to identify and correct errors or discrepancies.Maintain organized documentation and revision control of drawings and project files.Stay updated on industry trends, new technologies, and best practices in commercial glazing design and drafting.Qualifications:Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Architecture, Engineering, Drafting, or related field.Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, or other drafting software.Minimum of 2 years of experience in commercial glazing design and drafting.Strong understanding of architectural and structural drawings, building codes, and industry standards related to glazing systems.Excellent communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.Detail-oriented with a high level of accuracy and precision in drafting and documentation.Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment.Knowledge of construction materials, fabrication techniques, and installation methods for commercial glazing systems is a plus.All qualified applicants will receive consideration without regard to race, age, color, sex (including pregnancy), religion, national origin, disability, sexual orientation, gender identity, marital status, military status, genetic information, or any other status protected by applicable laws or regulations.GPAC (Growing People and Companies) is an award-winning search firm specializing in placing quality professionals within multiple industries across the United States since 1990. Drafter (Creo)

DrafterSterling Heights, MIDuration: 6 month contractResponsibilities:You will work closely with electrical engineering staff or electrical designers to support one or more aspects of the Combat Vehicle design/build process.Generating or updating engineering models, drawings, specifications, or other related documentation.Perform design and drafting of both electrical and mechanical aspects of electrical/electronic equipment using PTC Creo.Create designs and drawings of electrical and electro/mechanical components, harness assemblies, and installations using PTC Creo and Creo Cabling. Collaborate with Electrical and Mechanical design teams to develop and integrate complex vehicle systems. Aid in the documentation of new or existing 3D models as well as loading models to the document management system using PTC Creo.Work with vehicle subsystems, such as system architecture, cable interconnect diagrams, electronic and electrical enclosures, modeling and documentation of military systems and vehicles. Gain hands on combat vehicle experience through review, installation, and/or testing.Required Qualifications:Experience working with electrical/electronic systems.Sound understanding of Creo CAD modeling, design, and drafting techniques (minimum 1 year).Experience with design, routing, and drawings of wiring harnesses assemblies. Understanding of model and drawing generation utilizing Creo and Creo Cabling.Understanding of ASME Y14.100 and ASME Y14.5 standards. The Integrated Product Team (IPT) environment for this position requires highly cooperative team working skills, as well as very good oral and written communication skills.1 year of Creo DesignAssociate Degree in a relevant technical discipline, or an equivalent combination of education and experience; plus a minimum of 2 year's experience.Working knowledge of electrical engineering and electro-mechanical engineering tools is highly desired.
