Create conceptual safety CAE models to incorporate directional input and simultaneously assist in building gateway release models with precise representation elements for accurate prediction. Lead a team of CAE engineers working on crash and safety analysis projects, providing mentorship, guidance, and technical expertise. Demonstrate proven managerial experience in leading the development of crash/safety digital twins for automotive applications, ensuring successful execution from inception to launch. Plan and prioritize project activities, ensuring alignment with project goals, timelines, and budget constraints. Coordinate with internal stakeholders, including design, testing, attributes and regulatory compliance teams, to facilitate seamless integration of CAE analysis into the product development process. Collaborate with external partners, such as suppliers and research institutions, to leverage expertise and resources for advanced crash simulation and safety analysis capabilities. Drive innovation and continuous improvement initiatives within the CAE team, identifying opportunities to enhance simulation methodologies, tools, and workflows. Evaluate and recommend new CAE software tools and technologies to enhance the team's capabilities and efficiency. Conduct performance evaluations and provide constructive feedback to team members, fostering professional growth and development. Represent the CAE team in cross-functional meetings and project reviews, effectively communicating analysis results, insights, and recommendations to senior management and key stakeholders. Stay abreast of industry trends, regulations, and advancements in crash simulation and safety technologies, guiding the team's strategic direction and investment priorities.Location & Travel Expectations: The responsibilities of this role require attendance at in-person meetings and events regularly. This role will be based out of the Scout Motors location in Novi, MI. Here's what else you'll bring:A Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Automotive Engineering, or a related field. Equivalent experience is also acceptable. Proven track record of at least 8 years in crash safety simulation, with experience in a leadership role. In-depth knowledge of crash simulation software (e.g., LS-DYNA, Pamcrash) and expertise in finite element analysis (FEA) techniques. Familiarity with global automotive safety regulations and standards (e.g., FMVSS, IIHS, etc.). Strong leadership and team management skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate a cross-functional teams. Demonstrated ability to drive innovation in crash safety simulation methodologies and technologies. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to convey complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
