As a member of the core team for TNC's Nature Bonds Program, the Policy Advisor will: a) support country-level staff on policy and government relations to ensure that they have the tools and resources needed to support the identification, preparation, negotiation and implementation of Nature Bond projects in target countries; b) provide government relations advice on the viability and feasibility of specific Nature Bonds projects as part of TNC's development and approval process for these projects; c) act as a deputy for the Senior Policy Advisor for Conservation Finance in strategy-wide discussions; d) support the Nature Bonds Global team and regional and country teams in the development of conservation and climate commitments; e) support the Nature Bonds Global team in the management and execution of government relations strategies in prospective debt conversion geographies including where TNC has no formal presence; f) connect national policy efforts to global processes and multilateral agreements and commitments and help to coordinate opportunities to provide international visibility; and g) in coordination with designated TNC Relationship Managers support the development and implementation of outreach and partnership strategies with international institutions and global and regional policy processes to accelerate the delivery of Nature Bonds projects. Experience and understanding of biodiversity, conservation and/or climate policy, at national, regional and/or international levels.
