The University of Iowa Community Clinics (UICC) is seeking a patient centered 50 - 100% (20 - 40 hours a week) Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to work in our UICC North Dodge Neurology Clinic. Our Neurology Clinic provides consultation services, evaluations, diagnosis, and treatments for adult patients with a broad spectrum of disorders affecting the nervous system. Our general neurologists are committed to providing specialized care with a generalist perspective, ensuring an innovative, effective, and personalized approach, and diagnosis and treatment of a wide variety of neurological conditions. Patients with any neurologic problem, uncertain about their neurological condition, experiencing neurological symptoms, or needing a neurological evaluation may receive care in the general neurology outpatient clinic. The LPN's within the Neurology Clinic is responsible for assessing a wide variety of adult neurology patients and ensuring patient care standards are met. This position is part of a dynamic environment, rich with opportunities for learning and growth. We utilize a multidisciplinary approach to patient care that encourages teamwork between multiple disciplinary teams to provide the most comprehensive care to our patients. Provides nursing care under the supervision of a registered professional nurse. Participates in the development of nursing care plans and in the implementation of therapeutic program for patients. In less complex situations, may assume responsibility for directing and supervising assigned nursing personnel. In more complex situations, performs as an assistant to the registered professional nurse.
