The University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics Department of Anesthesia is seeking a Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA) to perform preoperative patient evaluation and coordinate the anesthetic plan in collaboration with the anesthesia faculty physician; administer the anesthetic plan with a team approach in all anesthetizing locations; perform postoperative patient evaluation and care. Anesthesia - Clinical Technician III .5 Sa & Su

This essential team member will perform specialized tasks and procedures in support of the staff anesthesiologists, resident physicians, CRNA's, and student nurse anesthetists. The schedule for this position is Saturday and Sunday 7:00 AM - 5:30 PM.Duties to include: Maintains all anesthesia service areas in readiness for anesthesia provider. These areas include, but are not limited to, OR, ASC, PACU, Urology, and Labor and Delivery. Assure that proper anesthesia related equipment is available and in the correct configuration for the next case. Assembling and preparing intravenous (IV) solutions, invasive monitoring lines including: Arterial, CVP, PA/LAP, blood lines and carriers. Continuous demonstration of team-oriented values. Cleans all anesthesia work areas and set up for follow on cases and completes terminal cleaning after last case of the day.
