As a Senior Cybersecurity Engineer, your daily responsibilities revolve around vigilantly monitoring all security activities on the company’s network and overseeing the robust security infrastructure that facilitates these operations. Working in tandem with a team of cybersecurity engineers, you will spearhead efforts to prevent and remediate cybersecurity incidents through continuous optimization of policies and rules. As a senior technical member of the team, you'll play a crucial role in fostering cross-functional partnerships, particularly with the IT department and product groups. You will provide robust support and implement stringent security measures across global platforms, ensuring that solutions remain fortified against evolving cyber threats while seamlessly integrating with the company’s objectives.

The Team We are seeking a Senior Manager, Cybersecurity Engineering to join American Tower’s Information Security team. The team protects the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of data and systems in core systems and platforms. Day to day you will observe all the security operations occurring across the networks and manage the security infrastructure that facilitates those operations. You will lead a team of security operations engineers who work within our solutions to prevent cybersecurity incidents, managing tools and processes to identify, analyze, communicate, and contain cybersecurity incidents while working with the incident response team to mitigate risks that occur. As a senior manager, you will partner cross-functionally with the IT team and product groups to support and secure our environment.

Description Engineer III Location: This position will work a hybrid model (remote and office). The Ideal candidate will live within 50 miles of one of our Elevance Health PulsePoint locations. Preferred Location: Cary, NC. The Engineer III for responsible for the delivery of end to end system development and maintenance on complex technology systems within assigned client group, business unit or corporate department. Maintains active relationships with internal and/or external stakeholder to develop business requirements. Analyzes and classifies complex change request and identifies and documents possible system code enhancements. Demonstrates knowledge of industry trends, our products and infrastructure. Collaborates with engineers and graphic designers, analyzes and classifies complex change request and reviews and evaluates possible enhancements. Works with development team to develop and define application scope and objectives and prepare functional and/or technical specifications. Analyzes and evaluates detailed business and technical requirements. Understands the product and analytics and drive requirements that take into account stakeholders needs. Identifies problems/risks. Codes and maintains complex components of information systems. Mentors others on coding standards and performs code reviews. Reviews test cases and advises QA on adjacent code/regression impact. Develops and performs system testing and fixes defects identified during testing and re-executes unit tests to validate results. Aids in integrating activities with other IT departments for successful implementation and support of project efforts. Provides on call support and monitors the system and identifies system deficiencies. Support MBM's custom and off-the-shelf software through all phases of the lifecycle. Maintain third party platforms like Appian , Napersoft. Maintain source repositories and encourage good practices in source control. Support .NET and Java build automation processes. Engage with test engineers to maintain automated testing processes. Support developers in packaging software for distribution. Perform application deployments to development, test, and production environments both on-premises and in the cloud. Maintain application and environment configuration through automated processes. Monitor testing and production environments to ensure stable operation. Perform initial triage of application issues to ensure rapid resolution. Collaborate to build consensus among your technical peers. Minimum Requirements: Requires an BA/BS degree in Information Technology, Computer Science or related field of study and a minimum of 3 years experience on one platform, multi database, multi language or multi business application; or any combination of education and experience, which would provide an equivalent background. Preferred Skills, Capabilities, and Experiences: Experience mentoring others, leading small projects and providing troubleshooting support is strongly preferred. Familiarity with the software development lifecycle and continuous integration/delivery concepts preferred. Ability to work in both Windows and Linux environments preferred. 3 years of Appian platform support experience. Installing & maintaining Appain instances preferred. 3 years of experience with Terraform/Ansible preferred. 3 years of experience working in a DevOps, application support or administration, or configuration engineering role preferred. 3 years of experience working in a hybrid public/private cloud environment including AWS or equivalent preferred. 3 years of experience in using/maintaining DevOps tool sets including but not limited to Bitbucket, Cloud bees, Artifactory etc. preferred. Understanding of containerization technologies such as Docker/ Kubernetes preferred. Experience working with deployment automation tools such as Jenkins/Cloudbees preferred. Fluency in one or more common scripting languages such as Python, Groovy, Bourne shell, or PowerShell preferred. Experience working in a regulated healthcare environment preferred. Strong ability to communicate technical information to your non-technical peers preferred. Experience developing and maintaining plugins and application support processes in IBM Urban Code Deploy preferred. Experience developing Jenkins Pipeline build automation preferred. Experience working with DockerEE or Kubernetes container orchestration tools preferred. Experience developing and deploying infrastructure as code preferred. Experience developing application monitors and alerts using Elastic or other equivalent technology for observability preferred. Experience with RDBMS as well as NoSQL data platforms preferred. A strong understanding of IP networking, including load balancing, routing, and firewall concepts preferred. Experience working on config management tools like Ansible/Chef/Puppet preferred.
