We are seeking Nurse Practitioners to travel to rural clinic locations in Arizona on a bi-weekly basis to provide primary care  healthcare services as well as occupational and disability health exams to underserved Native American Veterans.  All travel expenses will be provided by Leidos QTC Health Services. Your role with Leidos QTC Health Services: As a Nurse Practitioner, you will review medical history and associated medical records, interpret clinical data, complete written reports and generate independent medical opinions and sound chronic disease healthcare plans. Typical Two Week Schedule: Week 1: M-F: 8-4:30 Clinic Hours onsite at rural clinic in Northern Arizona Week 2: M-F: Hybrid remote work w/ occasional travel to support Mobile Clinics and other MDE Events. (approx. 18 days per quarter)   Pay Range: Salary: $145,000 - $155,000 with up to 30% annual bonus potential Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Provide healthcare chronic disease management services Develop and/or follow protocol based healthcare plans for geographically separated patients Work collaboratively with all healthcare continuum providers Assist geographically separated patients with little to no access to healthcare Travel and meet new people while having new experiences Occupational health exams to include pre-and post-employment and annual physicals Generalist approach to multi-system disability evaluations includes evaluations of conditions specific to the military operational environment like Gulf War and Prisoner of War. Occupational health/ disability examinations are in-person evaluations, but some may be completed virtually or by medical record review only. General Aid and Attendance or Housebound physical examinations Completion of Veterans Benefits Administration Disability Benefits Questionnaires (DBQs) and questionnaires for other clients Provide primary medical evaluations to include, but are not limited to, patient assessment and medical record review. Initial review and interpretation of laboratory, pulmonary function, and ECG studies Order and administer medications, including vaccines Order and interpret diagnostic studies as indicated Documentation of patient records in multiple systems Collaboration with other professional and support staff as required Determine the most effective and evidence-based way forward on behalf of the patient population Competencies Have the ability to travel 50% Demonstrates compassion and professionalism and a commitment to providing excellent service and care From a primary care perspective, be able to fully assess the examinee's health status through physical examinations. Collaborative, best proactive, and informed standard of care-centric, decision-making skills Analytical ability necessary to evaluate and determine medical opinions Technically competent with computers/tablets to include proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) and using Electronic Medical Records Knowledge of workplace health and safety concepts and OSHA regulations Ability to provide life-saving BLS services as required Education and/or Experience: (includes certificate & licenses) Unrestricted State medical licensure without limitations to perform full scope of authorized practice Master of Science in Nursing (MSN)  or Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) degree required Minimum 2-5 years of clinical experience Specialty/sub-specialty clinical experience is also valued but not required A valid U.S. Driver’s License and ability/willingness to drive between work locations Pay and benefits are fundamental to any career decision. Become familiar with the facility's administrative structure as introduced in the pre training orientation session Report to the charge nurse all accidents/incidents (even of an unknown source) you observe on the shift they occur. Report all changes in the resident's condition to the Nurse Supervisor/Charge Nurse as soon as practical. Answer phone (especially during mealtimes) Assist with errand of residents/staff Assist with secretarial tasks at the nursing station (making copies, filing, etc.) as requested Straighten resident closets/drawers - label resident belongings. Complete personal belonging form Maintain orderly/clean resident rooms and common areas (utility rooms, showers, resident bathrooms, day rooms, break room, etc.) Follow established policies concerning exposure to blood/body fluids Ensure that residents who are unable to call for help are checked frequently Answer call bells promptly & report needs to CNA/Nurse Make rounds assisting residents by opening/closing blinds, straightening blankets, making sure call bells are within reach, etc. Turn all medications found in the resident's room/possession over to the Nurse Supervisor/Charge Nurse Watch for and report any change in room temperature, ventilation, lighting, etc. Transport residents to & from meals/activities/outdoors/etc. Provide residents with Reality Orientations as instructed Pass linen. Make unoccupied beds. Put extra covers on beds. Use the wristband or photo card file to identify residents before serving meals, etc., as necessary Clean feeder tables, wheelchairs, bedside/over bed tables, urinals, bedpans, refrigerators, microwaves, etc. Place supplies/briefs in resident rooms/ common areas/ Unpack and stock supply room when deliveries arrive. Replace trash can liners in wastebaskets Inform the Nurse Supervisor/Charge Nurse of any changes in the resident's condition so that appropriate information can be entered into the resident's care plan. Pass snacks/trays to residents (To include passing protective clothing covers, opening milk cartons, refiling drinks, cutting food, etc.) Return trays to dietary.
