Will also be driving Bucket Trucks and operating forklifts. Preferred Job Skills: Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) or ability to obtain a CDL License. Able to maintain professional appearance and conduct at all times. OSHA 10 Hour, CPR, and First Aid trained. Able to maintain high levels of productivity, meeting deadlines while maintaining accuracy. Must be an effective and professional communicator. Responsibilities: Assists with shipping and receiving by unloading trucks and checking in merchandise.Prepares orders by processing requests and supply orders; pulling materials; packing boxes; placing orders in delivery area.Sorts and places materials or items on racks, shelves or in bins according to organizational standards.Opens bales, crates, and other containers.Maintains inventory controls by collecting stock location orders, printing request, recording amounts of materials or items received or distributed through a computer. May also assist in counting of physical inventory.Prepares parcels for mailing.Maintains safe and clean work environment by keeping shelves, pallet area, and workstations neat, Sweeps, dusts, and mops. Organizes warehouse and work area for orderliness at all times.Wear the proper safety equipment.All other duties as assigned. Position Requirements:Must be able to pass a Department of Transportation (DOT) physical in order to operate a stake body delivery truck. License: Class A CDL preferred, required after 6 months of employment. Certification: None required.Education: High School Graduate/GED preferred. Experience: Forklift and warehouse work experience required.Travel: Must be willing to travel as overnight stay is often required, up to 72 hours per trip. Company will provide hotel accommodations for overnight stays. Weekend travel may be required on rare occasion. Working Conditions:Job requires working in all weather elements, heat, cold, rain, or snow. Warehouse environment may or may not be climate controlled. Work from all types of ladders and be able to transport/relocate ladders unassisted.Employee’s personal weight with tools cannot exceed the rated weight capacity of ladders used.Perform work at various heights, up to 90 feet from ladders, scaffolds, aerial work platforms, cat walks and other safe work areas.May drive forklifts and utilize hand-trucks. Must wear all personal protective equipment as requiredMust be able to regularly work 40 hours per week plus overtime as required. Night shifts, weekends, and out-of-town work may be required. Required Physical/Mental Functions:Positively identify colors of wire and other items as required.Must have the ability to safely use required power tools.Must be able to safely operate construction equipment (trencher, forklift, aerial work platforms, etc.).Capable of using of hand tools or power equipment.Comprehend and practice safe work procedures as outlined in Company Safety Handbook.Operate two handed tools as required. Cable cutters, hammer drills, compression tools, etc.Operate company truck with manual and automatic transmission.Must be able to drive at night safely.
