Essential functions include: Program Management - APPROX. 30% Optimizes TNC conservation investments to leverage large scale conservation projects protecting priority lands, water resources, fire regimes, and wildlife connectivity corridors. Negotiates complex and innovative solutions with government agencies, other conservation organizations and key stakeholders related to Stewardship operations within program area. Develops and maintains collaborative partnerships with Federal and State, and local Agencies, Tribal Nations, NGO's, NRCDs, and other strategic partner with similar conservation objectives. Engages and provides input on external influences within program area. Examples include mining and energy interests, changes to State and Federal regulatory rulings, and agency management plans. Measures and calculates energy use on operational systems. Develops strategies for reducing utility expenses. Serves as onsite resource expert in utility matters for plant operations staff.The work schedule for this position is flexible and may include working evenings and weekends and local travel.Duties and Responsibilities:Implements energy-related cost-saving utility measures. Configures and programs the Energy Management System software.Participates as team member for organizational projects providing expert input in matters relating to energy performance.Reviews equipment sequences of operation, scheduling, and configuration for opportunities to improve efficiency. Networks with utility providers with an emphasis on utility incentive programs.Interacts with and maintains relationships with local contractors to keep abreast of current technologies and implementation in the local market.Calculates return on investment (ROI) for equipment and systems.
