The Assistant Production Coordinator will be highly responsible for technical work in the operation and supervision of the auditorium including set construction, technical operation of lighting and sound systems, equipment maintenance, and preventive safety operations.Primary duties will include, but are not limited to:Serves as the primary contact in the absence of the Production Coordinator and answers technical questions about running an event and scheduling events. Evaluates technical riders and set-up requests. This position is expected to align and maximize the interrelated nature of both the operational and planning aspects of these three areas. Develops 5-year Deferred Maintenance Plan. Reports, supports, and makes recommendations to Facilities leadership for planning and levels of funding.Directly develops and maintains the FSU Facilities Deferred Maintenance plan, incorporating project descriptions, scope, costs, etc… for more than 12 million square feet of building space and more than 700 acres. This includes, but is not limited to, university infrastructure, vehicles, and other university assets. Works to determine the level of priority in relation to other projects via an objective metric system. Research and prepare findings to present to university leadership regarding strategies, budgets, and schedules for capital planning, and deferred maintenance. Coordinates with various Facilities departments to ensure projects are clearly communicated and given thorough consideration and documentation. Regularly meet with and seek input from key campus colleagues and other internal Facilities staff. Coordinates with consultants and outside entities for assistance with building condition assessments and other facilities planning analyses. Develop and maintain a vetting process and pathway for project ideas and requests from the campus community to determine the applicability for the deferred maintenance plan. Oversee capital project warranty management of Facilities' assets once substantial completion is achieved.Oversees the Facilities Preventative Maintenance operations and supervises/directs PM leadership. Establishes priorities and ensures that the PM program is being executed properly and maximized to meet institutional and leadership goals and objectives. Develops a more progressive PM operation that increases PM activities in order to reduce reactive/corrective maintenance work on campus. Ensures PM staff at all levels are receiving proper training for effective, quality performance and safe working conditions. Develops and reports metrics to assess and represent PM performance to leadership. Leads staff to communicate clearly and coordinate work with other in-house Facilities groups as well as campus customers. Develops, coordinates, maintains, and oversees database software relating to preventative maintenance programs and the asset management system.Oversees and supervises staff to accurately inventory and update asset databases, software, and reports.
