Develops preliminary project costs, creates and manages project budgets, and facilitates project budget approval. Maintains and is accountable for the budget through completion of project. Reviews and approves contractors' application for payment as authorized in management approved contract and purchase orders. Provides design professionals with company standards & criteria and performs intermediate and final plan reviews to assure design integrity and compliance. Provides training and supervision to consultants and professionals regarding company standards and criteria Update and ensure complete records in RTA upon project completion Cross-coordinate and advise Strategic Sourcing to identify new vendors and partnerships to realize UNFI's buying power Job Requirements:Education/Certification: BS in Construction Management, Facilities Management, Engineering, Architecture, or related field Experience: 3+ years of related construction or facilities management experience required Previous experience with and knowledge of facility maintenance operations, material handling equipment, refrigeration systems, racking systems, dock equipment, etc. Experience developing cost reduction, cost avoidance, cost containment programs (e.g. value analysis, consolidation of orders/suppliers, lead time reduction, activity based costing) Skills/ Abilities: Possess excellent management and leadership skills and the ability to motivate and work with and through others to achieve desired results Advanced computer skills including but not limited to the Microsoft office suite, DocuSign, Microsoft Project, Bluebeam, and SharePoint Exceptional organizational and project management skills. Main duties and responsibilities include the following:Establish the project control plan. Control the rate of production and quality on all projects, their associated cost and expected receipts.Establish base line and monitor construction schedules. Insure construction schedules are adhered and deadlines met.Secure building permits, licenses and occupancy certificates.Monitor/control construction through administrative direction of on-site Superintendent to ensure building the project on schedule and within budget. Investigate potentially serious situations and implement corrective measures.Manage financial aspects of contracts (fee payment, rental equipment, income/expenses, etc.) to protect company's interest and simultaneously maintain good relationship with client and Architect.
