Essential Functions: The Techncial Writing Senior Specialist responsibilites include, but are not limited to:Create, develop, plan, write and edit documentation for all phases of Technical Order (TO) development in accordance with MIL-STD 38784, TO 00-5-1 and TO 00-5-3 requirements. Follow style guides, associated DoD/Mil-Standards for TO production, and TO processes, and understand customer requirements related to writing task assignments.Work as part of cross-functional team, made up of Subject Matter Experts (SMEs), to accomplish technical writing assignments.Perform research using technical data and engineering specifications (drawings, A-level specifications, test procedures, etc.) or commercial sources to translate data into user documentation.Convert existing technical documentation from Microsoft WORD products into formal technical publishing tool, i.e. Adobe FrameMaker. Attend Software demonstrations and work with engineers to learn new system capabilites to update technical documentation as required.
