The Technical Writer will be integrated into the program team, working with engineers to gain system understanding to develop Technical Orders documentation. Essential Functions: The Techncial Writing Senior Specialist responsibilites include, but are not limited to:Create, develop, plan, write and edit documentation for all phases of Technical Order (TO) development in accordance with MIL-STD 38784, TO 00-5-1 and TO 00-5-3 requirements. Follow style guides, associated DoD/Mil-Standards for TO production, and TO processes, and understand customer requirements related to writing task assignments.Work as part of cross-functional team, made up of Subject Matter Experts (SMEs), to accomplish technical writing assignments.Perform research using technical data and engineering specifications (drawings, A-level specifications, test procedures, etc.) or commercial sources to translate data into user documentation.Convert existing technical documentation from Microsoft WORD products into formal technical publishing tool, i.e. Adobe FrameMaker. Attend Software demonstrations and work with engineers to learn new system capabilites to update technical documentation as required. Coordinate with Trainers and participate in development of Type 1 training packages (lesson plan, student guide, instructor guide, and presentation material) for each TO development task.Qualifications: Ability to obtain a SECRET security clearanceBachelor's Degree and minimum 6 years of prior relevant experience. Graduate Degree and a minimum of 4 years of prior related experience. Northrop Grumman Space Systems is seeking a Principal Program Integrator or Sr. Principal Program Integrator to be a member of the PI team at Schriever AFB, CO.The Program Integrator will be responsible for satellite program integration with multiple mission systems and serve as the primary point-of-contact for internal and external customers. Integration activities include requirements identification, launch and early orbit, vehicle disposal, CONOP development, mission analysis, and on-console operations. Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results.
