Mueller Company (Mueller Co.), the nation's leading manufacturer of flow control devices for the water and gas distribution industries, has an opening for a Cycle Counter position based in our Chattanooga, TN Plant Facility.This is a position responsible for performing cycle counts and compiling and maintaining records of quantity, type, and value of material, equipment, merchandise, and/or supplies stocked in the establishment. Research root causes for count discrepancies. Essential Functions:Ensure the integrity of the physical count of the in-house inventory via cycle counting and other duties assigned by SupervisorCycle counts the warehouse including all pick and reserve slots for discrepancies and product/packaging integrity issues.Research causes of weight variances, receiving issues, and damaged products in the racks from warehouse moves.Confirm inventory is properly recorded and verify the count of each pallet.Verify the put-away and transfer process performed by the day and night personnel.Invoice Shippers DailyConfirm shipments and Maintain records for auditing at both facilitiesEnter on excel total sheet for balancing If duplicate shipment research and provide information to managerRecall shipments back from carriers or pulled before leaving the dockAbility to identify short shipments and raise awareness to managerLook in TMS for freight charges on freight shipmentsCommunicate dollars shipped daily to managerDispute resolution - Communicate with customer service with providing tracking and documentation on shipmentsCreate bill of ladings, ensuring accuracy so shipments are invoiced every day Print Shippers and file accordinglyGenerate Miscellaneous shipping Memos and documentationFile Debit Memos Update accounting spreadsheet daily and compare Hash ReportDocument location of inventory when counted.Review standard management reports and research causes of inventory shrink.Must have exemplary listening skills to facilitate effective two- way communication.Can add, subtract, multiply, and divide into all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.Solid problem-solving skills.Strong verbal and written communication skills.Must be able to read, write and speak English.experience using of handheld scanner and inventory systemsPhysical Requirements:Ability to use hands to finger, handle, or feelAbility to frequently sit, stand, walk, reach within hands and arm's length, push, pull, stoop, kneel, and crouchAbility to lift and/or move 50 pounds, and up to 100 poundsSpecific vision requirements include close vision and color visionAbility to work from a standing position for extended periods of timeAbility to work around hot heavy machineryAbility to work in an open warehouse environment, subject to seasonal weather (hot/cold)Education & Experience:High school diploma or equivalentValid Tennessee Driver's LicenseMust have good written and oral communication skills6-12 months experience preferredForklift experienceFamiliarity with inventory and scalesGood communication skillsFollow oral and written instructions and printsMulti task and self-motivated We are an equal opportunity employer.
