The Data Infrastructure Engineer will report to the Principal Data Infrastructure Lead. Primary Responsibilities:Design and troubleshoot data systems powering and serving the data lakehouse, databases, event stores, and large-scale data processing enginesDesign and implement self-service tools enabling development teams to quickly deploy their own data infrastructure and pipelines with appropriate guardrails in place to ensure reliabilityDeveloping and documenting APIs using commercial, full API lifecycle management tools and best practicesBuild unit test cases for data products and execute them for coverageContribute to a cross functional Agile Scrum team using Agile Scrum best practices, ceremonies, and artifactsRequired Skills, Experience, Qualification:3-5+ years of hands-on data engineering experience, preferably in a cloud or hybrid cloud environmentExperience with creating data driven business solutions and solving data problems using a wide variety of technologies such as Hadoop,Hive, Spark, NoSQL, RDBMS, S3, and SnowflakeExperience building ETL/ELT data pipelines, data quality checks and data anomaly detection and notification systemsKnowledge of BI concepts and implementation experience across multiple backendsExperience curating APIs for compliant data consumptionExperience with migration of infrastructure from on-prem to cloudCuriosity to learn and apply new technologiesExcellent verbal and communication skillsExperience with agile development methodologiesSalary: $140,000 - $155,000\n\nVericast offers a generous total rewards benefits package that includes medical, dental and vision coverage, and generous PTO allowance.
