With a steadfast commitment to advancing medical technology, we take immense pride in the work we do - and have a lot of fun doing it.About this Opportunity:The Assistant Plant Controller will own cost accounting & profitability analytics, optimizing how the facility uses its systems, maintaining the control environment, implement standardized policies, and improve working capital visibility and performance. This role reports to the Plant Controller (responsible for $190M in Revenue). This role will be heavily involved with cost accounting and analytics.Responsibilities:Quantify & compare bill of materials, routings, variances and trends to identify production process (quality - first pass yield, availability - uptime, performance - cycle time variability, capital utilization, etc...) improvements or clarity for the commercial team to address pricing accordingly.Drive cost accounting reviews, monitor, and analyze production standards and variances.Inventory accuracy, control, and analytics including obsolescence and DIO to drive improvement..Experience proactively suggesting and implementing KPI's, controls, and reporting to assist a business with identifying and consequently improving problem areas.Provides operational support with capital equipment authorization, asset management and inventory control (cycle count process). Prepares monthly plant forecast.Own the costing processes, actionable variance analysis.Action oriented, and enjoys walking the operations floor and being hands-on.Fixed Assets, safeguarding & tracking.Responsible for weekly and monthly accounting processes; preparing journal entries, operating within and achieving deadlines (on time, in full, and on quality).Prepare journal entries, complete and review balance sheet reconciliations, utilize financial systems to prepare reports & analytics, and provide management with timely, accurate, and relevant information.Track and drive the improvement of operational metrics for current and future production systems.Implement tools to audit variances and identify cost reduction opportunities.Work closely with engineering, supply chain, and estimating to understand the products we produce and develop accurate product costing and workflows within our ERP system.Monitor and analyze cycle counting program and inventory movements, ensuring inventory accuracy on a monthly basis.Ensure balance sheet accounts are properly reconciled on a timely basis.Identify and drive opportunities to streamline and simplify processes & reporting.Ad hoc projects and analyses as assigned.Requirements / Skills:Bachelor's degree in accounting.CPA preferred.7+ years' experience in Finance and Accounting for manufacturing companies.4+ years of hands-on cost accounting experience.Strong detail orientation and process approach, analytical with problem-solving skillsIntuitive understanding of ERP processes, usage, & impacts (must have strong systems aptitude).Proficient with Microsoft Office & familiarity with tier 3 ERP systems (Ie.
