DescriptionDirector, Environmental Health and SafetyThe University of Tennessee Knoxville’s Department of Environmental Health and Safety is accepting applications for Director of Environmental Health and Safety (EHS). Reporting to the Associate Vice Chancellor for Public Safety, the Director will provide leadership and direction in the planning, development, budgetary, implementation and evaluation of the University’s EHS programs. The Director will lead and manage staff in the major safety, health and environmental programs and serves as the safety office for the UT Graduate School of Medicine.The director is expected to lead the operational management of the Environmental Health and Safety department employees and operating budget consisting of the following functional units: occupational health safety, laboratory safety, radiation safety, industrial worker safety, environmental programs, and fire and life safety.
