C/A Designs, an industry leader in the manufacturer of complex aluminum dip and vacuum brazed assemblies, is seeking a talented, driven and accomplished Brazer to join its successful and accomplished team. This position will be responsible for the assembly, straightening and dip brazing of aluminum chassis. This is a critical role within the Brazing team and requires a detailed mind set. This role reports directly to the Braze Supervisor. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Precision mechanical assembly of complex assemblies using internal drawings, shop travelers, set-up sheets and measuring tools. Dip Brazing, pre and post braze straightening. Chemical cleaning of components. Preventative maintenance and equipment calibration. Other duties as assigned. EXPERIENCE: High School Diploma, or General Education Degree (GED). Previous manufacturing experience preferred. Dip braze experience a plus. Confers with planning and design staff concerning product design and tooling to ensure efficient production methods. Works with vendors to determine product specifications and arrange for purchase of equipment, materials, or parts, and evaluates products according to specifications and quality standards. Estimates production times, staffing requirements, and related costs to provide information for management Liaise with management, engineering, and other staff regarding manufacturing capabilities, production schedules, and other considerations to facilitate production processes. Conducts Value Stream Analysis, manufacturing process flow redesigns, time and motion studies as part of the planning process. Applies statistical methods to estimate future manufacturing requirements and capture potential efficiencies. Leads plant management and employees in conceptualizing, planning and implementing, and sustaining continuous improvements by utilizing Lean Manufacturing tools. Other duties as assigned. EXPERIENCE: Bachelor of Science in Mechanical/ Manufacturing engineering required with 5-7 + year's work experience in a manufacturing facility in an engineering type role. The CNC Programmer will be responsible for creating and documenting an efficient and accurate CNC machining process to meet internal and customer requirements of precision aluminum thermal enclosures for the Aerospace and Defense industries. This is a critical role within the manufacturing team and requires a strict attention to detail as the ability to work in a team environment. Review customer and internal drawings to fully understand the requirements and tolerances associated with each necessary component to create a proper machining approach. Design all necessary workholding, fixturing and custom tooling in Solidworks to support the CNC machining process. Create manufacturing drawings for all custom tooling using Solidworks for use by outside tooling vendors. Create efficient and accurate CNC programs and associated setup documentation using Solidwork/Camworks for all CNC operations required to create compliant components. Create probing and macro programs for final machining operations on brazements as required. Create in-process inspection reports for critical features on each CNC operations. Maintain all NC code and associated documentation in Cimco CNC database. Re-program legacy components using Solidworks/Camworks to improve overall process quality and reduce cycle times. Support CNC Machining during setup and production process for all required CNC program updates Collaborate with other CNC Programmers to develop best practices and innovative approaches to complex machining challenges. Collaborate with other technical disciplines such as Design Engineering, Special Process, and Quality Control to ensure each project is a success.
