The Maintenance Manager provides direction and leadership in support of the maintenance, repair and oversight of the C/A Design manufacturing facility and grounds. The Maintenance Manager will play a key role in the overall success and performance of the C/A Design organization and its new state of the art aerospace and defense high precision machining facility. The Maintenance Manager position is a highly regarded role amongst the management team and will receive direction and support from the Plant Manager. This hands-on leader will be expected to embrace and exhibit our culture of honesty, integrity, and good corporate citizenship. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Continually strives towards a culture of proactive safety. Direct and support the maintenance technician and supporting staff in all maintenance activities including complex assignments. Maintains function and reliability of facility systems and associated equipment by implementing and providing oversight of a preventive maintenance program. Facilitates the operation and testing of systems and equipment. Working in conjunction with department leads will schedule the flow of maintenance related work while being mindful of critical production deadlines. Support Plant Manager and lead Engineer in the development of strategies and plans which align with operational needs, while minimizing risks, and maximizing the useful life of the assets being maintained. Maintain records and coordinate service/repair via outside contractors on a variety of high precision machining equipment and other large -scale equipment. Participate in the opex and capital planning process and repair vs. replace decisions. Carry out inspections of the facility and assets to identify and resolve issues. Coordinate response to internal inquiries for maintenance support; review, prioritize and assign tickets from the work order system. Support compliance audits and quality assurance reviews; review performance reports and implement corrective actions. Partner and coordinate with Environmental Health and Safety coordinator on safety related topics and initiatives; active participant of the safety team. QUALIFICATIONS: Associate degree or equivalent, technical training or certifications relative to equipment maintenance/repair highly desirable. 10+ years of hands-on maintenance experience in a manufacturing setting. Knowledge of CNC, machine shop environment - working experience in a similar environment highly desirable. Strong working knowledge of building systems, Hydraulic, Plumbing and Electrical. Knowledge of industry-leading practices and suggestions/solutions for continuous improvement. Strong computer knowledge with ability to utilize MS Office. Effective communication skills with the ability to interact and partner with all levels of the organization. Leadership capabilities, and a team player mentality. Ability to anticipate needs, multitask, manage shifting priorities and work in a fast-paced environment. Must maintain a valid driver's license.
