C/A Designs, an industry leader in the manufacturer of complex aluminum dip and vacuum brazed assemblies, is seeking a talented, driven and accomplished Brazer to join its successful and accomplished team. This position will be responsible for the assembly, straightening and dip brazing of aluminum chassis. This is a critical role within the Brazing team and requires a detailed mind set. This role reports directly to the Braze Supervisor. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Precision mechanical assembly of complex assemblies using internal drawings, shop travelers, set-up sheets and measuring tools. Dip Brazing, pre and post braze straightening. Chemical cleaning of components. Preventative maintenance and equipment calibration. Other duties as assigned. EXPERIENCE: High School Diploma, or General Education Degree (GED). Previous manufacturing experience preferred. Dip braze experience a plus. The Maintenance Mechanic is responsible for performing routine maintenance, preventative maintenance, servicing and repairs on machinery, tooling, heat treat systems and equipment while keeping the overall facility in operating condition. Working in conjunction with other departments and department employees. Accomplish needed tasks as delegated by manager. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Strive towards a culture of proactive safety. Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair machinery, tooling, heat treat systems and equipment. Assist in troubleshooting electrical, mechanical, pneumatic and plumbing issues of all shop equipment. Uses technical manuals to research proper machine operations and to acquire replacement parts. Perform safety checks and maintenance logs as needed. Completes planned maintenance tasks for assigned equipment and janitorial routine in and around the facility. Participates in continuous improvement activities. Actively participate, in all established company health and safety training programs, and comply with all policies and procedures. Other duties as assigned. Qualifications: High School Diploma, or General Education Degree (GED) with 5-8 years of hands-on maintenance experience required. Knowledge of CNC Machines, Plating lines, Heat treat equipment and facility operations is a plus. Demonstrated ability to solve highly technical problems. The Hardware Installer is responsible for performing precision installation of hardware including helicoids, pins, pemserts, screws, epoxy etc for the Aerospace and Defense industries. This is a critical role within the manufacturing team and requires a detailed mind set.
