Job DescriptionDUTIES: Build, enhance and support data ingestion pipelines, data lakes, and data warehouse across a variety of infrastructure (both on-prim and cloud).Collaborate with infrastructure and IT team to design, create, and maintain optimal data pipeline architecture and data structures for Enterprise Data Platform.Collaborate on design, development, testing, and automation phases of solution implementation.Work with product team to define release timelines and socialize them with the business needs.Assemble and consolidate complete data sets from business and reporting systems such as Business Objects, Cognos/EDW/CDW, E1, and Salesforce.Automate manual data acquisition processes and optimize data delivery.Develop customized SQL queries for database solutions and business ad hoc requests.Conduct data integration, data integrity to improve data fidelity in for real time analytics.Work with business stakeholders to understand their data analytics and machine learning needs and optimize datasets, pipelines, and solutions for generating business KPI metrics.Collaborate on design, development, testing, and automation phases of solution implementation.Travel: Up to 10% domestic and international travel required. The Digital Leadership Development Program (DLDP) is designed as a unique opportunity for high-potential recent graduates to develop the technical and professional foundation to accelerate their careers as a future Digital or IT Leader. The DLDP experience is managed by a dedicated Program Manager, supported by the company IT and Digital leadership team, and offers impactful opportunities for growth. What will you do? Program participants will develop technical skills, gain leadership experience through stretch assignments, and create a network across the organization to accelerate career development within Thermo Fisher Scientific's technology organization. Participants will have four 6-month assignments during the two-year program at two different sites across the US. Geographic flexibility is required both during and after the completion of the program. Typical assignment sites are: Carlsbad, CA; Pittsburgh, PA; Frederick, MD. Relocation assistance is provided. Rotations are determined through a combination of business priorities, participant interests, and areas of development. Additional learning opportunities support the accelerated nature of the program and will include: LDP learning sessions; a dedicated assignment manager; a formal mentor; exposure to senior leadership; and a network of Leadership Development Program alumni across the organization. Upon program completion, the Program Manager will partner with participants to align on post-program interests and participants will interview for IT and Digital roles where functional competencies will continue to be developed. Student completing a Bachelor's degree between December 2023 and June 2024. Preferred majors: Management Information Systems, Computer Science, IT, Information Security, Data Science, Computer Engineering, Software Engineer/Programming, or similar. 1+ years of related experience preferred. Strong desire and motivation to develop a career as a future leader in Technology. Ability to lead, plan, and prioritize projects. Experience in data collection and analysis. Proven leadership aptitude, learning agility, and resourcefulness. Understanding of existing and new technologies. Geographic flexibility is required both during and upon completion of the program. Excellent interpersonal communication skills with a high degree of emotional intelligence and strong executive presence.
