Conduct pre-planning meetings with Vendors and Senior Category Merchandisers to construct Trimester Planning Calendar with inserts and overlays. Preplanning meetings with assigned Retail groups to plan and pre book National Expo. Coordinate Trimester area meetings to gain retailer feedback and promote UNFI sales driving programs. Gain market intelligence in assigned market areas and gain insight on locally relevant items and promotions. Provide competitive merchandising solutions for retail formats by researching market conditions to determine potential sales of product and retail trends. Manage vendor relationships related to ad/extra effort programming. Responsible for helping to achieve P&L commitment for Consumer Marketing Department budget. Resolve all internal and external customer merchandising requests and concerns while maintaining a high level of professionalism and service. Responsible for at least one key retailer in assigned territory--assist in retailer/vendor planning sessions and participate in monthly conference calls and or meetings. Thorough knowledge of all sales programs; educate account managers to our programs and help sell to assigned retailer(s.) Develop and sustain strong working relationships with assigned retailers.
