Project Engineer - Transportation

Primary Function The Ideal candidate will have a comprehensive knowledge of the project development process for public transportation projects. The candidate must have final design experience that implements design standards for multiple agencies, experience in roadway modeling, and the ability to lead a design team. Strong verbal and written communication skills are a must. Experience in developing scoping documents, proposal writing, and business development are a plus. Primary Duties Lead a multi-discipline team and perform design on transportation engineering projects, including developing and evaluating alternatives, conducting engineering design calculations, and developing preliminary/detailed design. Provides technical expertise to ensure compliance with design intent and state and federal design standards. Develops concept plans and design criteria, typical section(s), and cost estimate such as the long range estimates.
