Responsibilities:Review project plans, specifications, and other documents to understand the scope of work.Conduct thorough quantity take-offs and material pricing to determine project costs.Utilize estimating software and tools to prepare detailed cost estimates and proposals.Collaborate with project managers, subcontractors, and suppliers to gather necessary information for accurate estimates.Analyze project risks and opportunities to develop competitive pricing strategies.Present estimates to management and participate in bid review meetings.Maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry trends, pricing, and materials to ensure competitiveness in bids.Assist in value engineering and cost-saving initiatives as required.MPI does not discriminate on the basis of race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, national origin, age, disability, veteran status, marital status, or based on an individual's status in any group or class protected by applicable federal, state or local law. MPI encourages applications from minorities, women, the disabled, protected veterans and all other qualified applicants.Requirements:Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience).Proven experience as an Estimator in the construction industry, preferably within general contracting.Proficiency in construction estimating software (e.g., Procore, PlanSwift, Bluebeam) and Microsoft Office Suite.Strong mathematical and analytical skills with attention to detail.Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.Knowledge of construction methodologies, materials, and building codes.Understanding of project scheduling and sequencing.Familiarity with LEED principles and sustainable construction practices (preferred but not required).
