Will be required to use repetitive motions assembling parts, nuts, bolts, and screws. Job DescriptionThe Mill Room Helper assists the Mill room Attendant in the Porcelain Department, reporting to Boiler.This position will serve our Water Heating Division, located in Montgomery, AL.ResponsibilitiesMust receive and store raw materials. Must fill pressure tanks from storage vessels. Set-up and administer Erwin slump test for proper viscosity, and if necessary, make correction by adding necessary chemicals or additives. Deliver and remove pressure tanks to and from work area as needed using a mechanical walk along device. Replace screens and parts in pots, and any other equipment as directed. Clean general mill room as required. Transport enamel from storage tank fill to 60-gallon spray pot. Will be responsible for cleaning and inspection of screens for damage. Maintain good housekeeping in work area. Observe all departmental safety requirements. Inspect units or parts for defects and workmanship. Work from written or verbal orders. Perform other related duties as required by supervisor. Must be able to apply chemicals to slump to increase or decrease thickness. Must be able to perform and document quality checks i.e. slump testMust be able to understand and read a measuring cup. Must be able to perform preventative maintenance on pressure vessels, lift assists etc. Must be able to connect large hoses to storage tanks and provide a mixture of virgin and reclaim to pressure vessels. Performs other duties as assigned.QualificationsCandidate must have a High School Diploma/GED. Candidate must have working in a manufacturing environment/warehousing setting for a minimum of 1 year. Candidate must have held their current job for a minimum of 6 months prior to bidding on this role (excluding realignment). Job DescriptionThe Industrial Facilities Maintenance position will serve our Water Heating Division, located in Montgomery, AL.ResponsibilitiesWork from written or verbal orders, including sketches or diagrams. Install, replace, or change parts and attachments, according to specifications. Apply tools, equipment, and skills used in industrial facility repair, plumbing, and electrical applications. Perform routine preventative maintenance and troubleshooting on equipment as required by the PM. Maintain a safe and clean working environment by complying with Company procedures, rules and regulations. Ensure proper care in the use and maintenance of equipment and supplies; promote the continuous improvement of workplace safety and environmental practices required by Company, federal and state guidelines. Receives and performs time sensitive work order assignments. Performs monthly maintenance and audits of emergency lights, exit signs, ice machines, water fountains, etc. Replaces lighting in offices and break areas. Ability to perform office painting/drywall patching as well as, dropped ceiling maintenance. Apply standards-based methods for empirical testing to evaluate assigned problems. Apply the basics of air flow measurements and computations including temperatures (dry bulb, wet bulb, dew point, relative humidity) and pressure incorporating temperature relationships to test setup and execution. Setup, adjust, and change test samples and setups for testing and perform the required testing in accordance with engineering specifications or defined test practices. Collect, analyze, interpret, summarize, and document data and information gathered during testing. Operate, maintain, and repair test equipment, instrumentation, and systems in accordance with engineering specifications or defined test practices. Use of hand tool including welding and brazing tools. Demonstrate an understanding of how to operate computer systems for data acquisition, recording test results, project status reporting and to manage test documentation, records and reports.
