Engineering ManagerOpportunityTaurus Industrial Group (TIG) is currently seeking qualified candidates for the position of Engineering Manager for our Corpus Texas office location. This role reports directly to the President, Engineering & Technical Services with a primary focus on leading major engineering, technician and design projects as well as supporting other TIG engineering locations, business units, business development, and company initiatives.Job DescriptionOperational - 60% and coordinates activities of projects, engineering, and design disciplines.management for engineering activities for all stages of projects. It is envisaged this candidate will be a primary focal point for defined strategic customer accounts.project oversight, including managing engineering scope according to technical contracts, developing change orders, and maintaining project budgets and schedules.technical expertise and advice on complex engineering problems, including staying appraised on the latest advancements in technology and industry trends.high levels of quality and responsiveness to meet internal and external client requirements in alignment with company expectations.staff, including managerial staff, and provide leadership to achieve goals and vision of the organization.and responding to project bids / proposals and ensuring that projects perform to stated targets. This includes tracking actual performance against plan and any issue resolution.Management Responsibilities - 25%closely with President, Engineering & Technical Services to foster and grow positive team culture.strategic direction, leadership, engineering, and technical services oversight for employees on achieving individual, team, department, and organizational performance goals.and manages budget for financial responsibility. Includes but is not limited to revenue, profitability, and indirect expenses.trains, and develops staff for growth and development opportunities.manages resource planning along with cross office resourcing collaboration, individual performance reviews, individual annual merit and bonus decisions, training, and professional development for team members.talent growth, which includes regular evaluation of candidate resumes, technical phone screens, collaboration with HR, and regular in person interviews and debrief assessments.Business Development Responsibilities - 15%and further develops customer relationships, including forming new relationships with customers not currently supported by TIG.strong relations with regional area customers is a plus.maintains and builds positive customer relationships.with other engineering divisions and business units throughout the TIG organization to promote revenue growth and expansion of services with existing and prospective TIG customers.proposal efforts by developing, providing resources, and reviewing proposals Project Management to ensure success rate.with President and other Division Managers on strategic initiatives for the company and/or division.Expectations/Preferencesdegree in Engineering from accredited university or equivalentand strength in Petrochem and Refinery.experience with Tier 1 Refinery and Petrochem customers will be a plus.track record in delivering engineering projects on time, within budget and to the required quality standards. This includes planning, coordinating and executing project-related activities.and experience with innovative Engineering Methods and Tools.years of experienceregistration a plusmarket and economic understanding of the Industrial Engineering Industry.new, innovative, and entrepreneurial ideas and suggestions for growth and improvement.understanding of suppliers, competitors, and customers in industrial engineering market.individual will interface with both the supplier and customers and needs to have good interpersonal skills.be analytical, self-motivated, and possess the ability to work in high-pressure situations while maintaining a positive, enthusiastic, and collaborative attitude.strong interpersonal skills with the ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with staff, division presidents, management, as well as other engineering divisions and business units throughout the TIG organization.to interact with customers, industry peers and the community with a high level of professionalism.level of initiative and demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects with clear expectations and highly responsive, internally, and externally.and passionate around internal engagement and maximizing development of others.business acumen and industry knowledge.to maintain and develop strong client relationships.presentation and verbal/written communications skills.a high level of initiative and explores new opportunities while understanding the risk to the organization.with initiative to achieve established corporate goals.
