Maintaining adequate compensation balances and management of capital requirements.- Prepares and processes payroll upon receipt from the Director of Human Resources.- Maintain and ensure accuracy of equity partners capital/draw accounts.- Keep adequate records of all aspects of the partnership compensation system.- Participating in the development of overall firm accounting, billing, and finance procedures, policies and internal controls, and ensuring timely compliance with protocols set by the Managing Attorney, Management Committee, and the Partnership.- Prepare & ensure the timely filing of all tax filings: Partnership annual tax returns, K-1s, 1099s, Business Tax, Property Tax, Sales & Use Tax.- Coordinating with outside accountant preparation of trial balance, related documents for filing of State & Federal Partnership returns & K-1s and other tax related issues as needed.- In collaboration with the Director of Human Resources, prepare and ensure timely renewal of the benefits insurance programs: health, dental, life & LTD/STD. Makes recommendations for changes to modify coverage as appropriate to reduce costs, and analyze new programs as needed.- In collaboration with the Administrative Paralegal, prepare and ensure timely renewal of firm insurance policies: professional liability insurance, general business coverage, workers compensation, fiduciary coverage, director & officers coverage, cybersecurity coverage, group umbrella coverage, and other miscellaneous policies.- Oversee and review new vendor contracts and renewals including collaboration with Director of Human Resources for facilities management.- Assess billing rates and prepare recommendations regarding annual billing rate adjustments.-. Manage and maintain banking relationships and other external parties with whom financial information is exchanged.- Continually monitors the financial system for inequities and makes appropriate recommendations.Must-haves 5-7 years of proven working experience as Accounting Manager, Finance Manager, or Controller Strong understanding of all accounting functions, ensure compliance and consistency in policies and procedures.Skilled to take initiative across core accounting areas including:treasury, cash management and reporting; billing; collections and accounts receivable; accounts payable, client pass through expenses and employee expense reimbursements; general accounting, trust accounting and reconciliations; and support for payroll, financial analysis and reporting.
