Review plans and specifications for new machinery and equipment, permitting within environmental permit requirements. Assess new chemical introduction impacts to wastewater, and permits, work integrally with safety members. Maintain water treatment systems such as reverse osmosis, sand filtration, evaporation, and other methodologies. Identify and correct potential hazards by inspecting facilities, machinery, and safety equipment. Develop and deliver training of employees to regulatory requirements including RCRA and other programs. Maintain and apply knowledge of current policies, regulations, and industrial processes. Consult with manufacturing regarding chemical operations related to by-products, chemical interactions, waste disposition. Respond and consult during environmental emergencies on proper methods of clean-up or process control. Responsible for knowledge and understanding of EHS regulations and requirements and developing and implementing programs to meet those requirements. Prepare and submit company EHS metrics Maintains a safe work environment Qualifications: Education: Bachelor's Degree from an accredited college or university in Environmental Science, Chemical or Environmental Engineering, Chemistry, Biochemistry, or related field.
