Provides emergency first aid when necessary.Additional Department Summary: The UREC Lifeguard ensures the safety of patrons by surveilling pool activities and enforcing all University Recreation policies, rules, and regulations. Works to prevent and respond effectively to emergencies as needed. Works at multiple facilities, including the Aquatic Center, Student Recreation Center, and Outdoor Pool Complex, and is a critical member of the facility Emergency Action Plan.Required Minimum Qualifications: Lifeguard Training Certification or equivalent from nationally recognized training organization (American Red Cross, YMCA, Ellis, BSA).
