Under the direction of the RN and/or provider, handles patient advice calls, discusses test results, answers patients questions, provide instruction and patient education; Provides patient education on provider plan of care; Uses good judgment when giving advice to patients. LPN/Triage enters E-scribe prescriptions for providers to sign; Phones in prescriptions and documents per physician order in patient chart; Handles prescription prior authorizations. Position Summary The Perioperative OR nurse is an individual who works with the patient being prepped for surgery, their family, and as a member of the interdisciplinary care team. The OR nurse helps to evaluate the patient, then plan and implement various steps to, during, and beyond surgery. The RN OR is responsible through nursing processes for providing and coordinating nursing care, and resource management for patients and families in the operating room.
