Tracks and maintains payments made to various union funds and communicates regularly with union representatives. Assist in internal and external audits including SOX, DOL, union, etc. Handles various payroll adjustments, e.g., shortages, garnishments, manual computation of gross and net pay, vacation pay, bonuses, etc., after verifying with appropriate management. PRINCIPLE ACCOUNTABILITIES Responds to employment verification requests. Core work hours are 8:00am to 5:00pm; must be willing and able to work additional hours as needed. Performs other miscellaneous work as assigned. QUALIFICATIONS Bachelor's degree preferred and/or equivalent experience required. One (1) plus year(s) payroll experience. Experience of multi-state payroll preferred. Experience in a Union environment is preferred. Compiles payroll data to include hours worked, personal/sick time, vacation, tax withholding, and other employee information, from time sheets and other records. Generates reports as needed. Track temporary employee hours, sends to the temp agencies and verifies the invoices as they come in; prepares monthly accrual worksheet for Plant Accountant.Reviews wages computed and corrects errors to ensure accuracy of payroll. Tracks overtime and total hours worked on spreadsheets and sends reports to department managers.Tracks vacation and attendance. Runs weekly attendance reports.Prepares, transmits hours to corporate, and distributes paychecks. Responds to inquiries and questions.
