To excel in this position, you must be an outstanding problem-solver with exceptional communication and organizational skills.ResponsibilitiesDuties/Responsibilities: Perform general maintenance works to avoid possible failures and malfunctions.Assist in developing, completing, and reviewing preventive and corrective maintenance programs.Complete daily work assignments and wok orders in a timely and accurate manner.Analyze repairs requests, equipment failures, and troubleshoot them to assure efficient use of self-performance vs. Contractors.Perform installations, assembling, fittings, repairs, and replacements as needed.Handle emergency maintenance and repair work. Sponsorship not available.Our client is seeking a Engineering Technician in SMW, NJ.Role DescriptionThe Equipment Technician, Equipment Commissioning & Qualification Operations supports the successful operation of laboratory, clinical and commercial manufacturing operations at their home site through interaction with internal team members and internal customers as well as external service providers. With direct supervision and given general instructions, this individual carries out routine tasks and functions. As a developing team player, the incumbent interacts with their immediate supervisor and personnel within their own work group to achieve team goals while building trust and collaborative relationships outside the immediate organization. The incumbent will be involved with equipment collection and return for schedule calibrations, escorting vendors and non-calibration or repair activities within the Equipment Commissioning and Qualification group such as ensuring all equipment labels are accurate.1) Operational Activities a. Escorts Field Service Engineers performing calibration, preventative maintenance, performance verification, and repair activities in both laboratory and manufacturing areas. b. Updates calibration labels ensuring accuracy. c. Ensures all calibration, PM, and performance verification records are filed appropriately after approval. d. Make and verify GMP logbook entries, as necessary. e. Collects and returns portable equipment for scheduled calibrations as well as for repairs. f. Updates asset labels as needed and replaces damaged labels throughout manufacturing and laboratory areas. g. Assist ECQ engineer during PM and calibration and act as a verifier of PM/ Calibration data. h. Maintain/update portable equipment list, as necessary. i. Shipping and receiving of ECQ packages to and from external vendors. j. Maintaining inventory for parts and keeping them in an organized manner. k. Adheres to all policies and procedures that govern the ECQ team and the equipment they manage in order to ensure compliance is held to the highest standard.2) Promotes and provides excellent customer service and support a. Regularly reviews, prioritizes and promptly responds to customer equipment support requests. b. Maintains a positive relationship with all the members of the Equipment Commissioning & Qualification department and site customers while promoting a positive team environment.3) Inventory Management /Organization a. Work with Equipment Commissioning and Qualification Engineers to maintain organization of storage and laboratory areas utilized by Equipment Commissioning and Qualification.4) Regulatory Responsibilities a. Maintains all required Corporate, Facilities and EHS training as required. b.
