Position OverviewSIMCO Electronics is seeking a talented, and enthusiastic Financial Planning Analyst for the Finance department to make an immediate impact in this high growth, multi-location company. You will work closely with the finance team to develop and maintain financial models, analyze financial data, and provide insights and recommendations to support strategic decision-making. This position will report directly to the Senior Financial Planning Analyst, with primary responsibilities in maintaining the company's forecast models, updating periodic reporting templates, and monitoring the key business metrics.Responsibilities and DutiesBuild, maintain, and automate complex and dynamic financial models to provide data-driven, actionable insights to drive product growth and other strategic objectives.Collaborate and partner with multiple cross-functional teams (Sales & Marketing, Finance, Operations, etc.) to help manage and drive the 5-step planning & forecasting process, pricing, & new service offerings.Develop and/or maintain compensation plans to align with the business goals.Develop and/or enhance policies and procedures that will improve the overall operation and effectiveness of the financial planning & analysis function and organization.Lead and prioritize analytical frameworks and roadmaps to uncover new business opportunities and key areas of risk.Develop and monitor performance indicators, highlighting trends and analyzing causes of unexpected variances.Analyze complex financial information and reports to provide accurate and timely financial recommendations to management for decision-making purposes.Assist in the preparation and presentation of weekly, monthly, quarterly, Board of Directors, and other financial dashboards and reporting.Support ad-hoc financial analysis and projects as needed.Qualificationsdegree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field.years of experience in financial planning and analysis.proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint, and Workday Adaptive Insights.communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.to work independently and collaborate effectively in a team environment.with data modeling within PowerBI is a plus.Experience /Training / Certifications Bachelor's degree in finance or related field. What will you do?Implementation of PPI and lean manufacturing practices (5S, Visual Controls, A3, SMED, Flow, GEMBA's, Standard Work, etc.)Manage and facilitate continuous improvement projects and Kaizen events to improve productivity and accelerate growth.Provide leadership in the areas of PPI and Lean by mentoring site teams to deliver results.Provide guidance for chartering of projects and kaizen events.Capture & record training and help coordinate the measurement, idea generation, tracking and reporting of PPI savings impactIdentify, prioritize, and lead PPI initiatives that are aligned with Value Stream business objectives.Assist in developing site improvement goals and objectives and coordinate and champion activities to meet or exceed those goalsAssists in managing the Productivity Funnel process for the value streams to ensure that projects have clear ownership within the business to drive execution.Partner with management to drive ownership of CI activities within the site.Ability to train site resources in the areas of PPI and lean principles implementation.How will you get there?EducationMinimum required Education: Bachelors degree in engineering, business or related field.Certification as a Six Sigma Green Belt, Black Belt, and/or Lean certification preferred.
