Position Overview This position involves the safe and efficient operation of front-end loaders, excavators, and a water truck as needed for business demands. Responsible for safe slopes on excavations and proper barricading. Perform minor servicing and maintenance or refer major problems to the supervisor. Keep machines clean and maintained. Keep time and material records. Knowledge of weight requirements of loads leaving the pit. Travel to and from various locations. Assist labor crew including shoveling of materials and daily plant operations. Promptly communicate with paving crew on any flaws in material. Take action to avoid potential hazards or obstructions. HAUL TRUCK OPERATOR Competently and efficiently operates a large Haul Truck, maybe hauling shot rock to crusher, crushed rock to stockpiles or moving dirt/rock from various areas. 4. PLANT OPERATOR Competent with set up, operation and tending to the rock crushing plant based on the required production schedule. Must have full understanding of plant computer automation and how to operate all parts of the plant efficiently based on the DEQ Air Permit. 5. LOADER OPERATOR: Competently and Efficiently operates a large Front-End Wheel Loader to efficiently load shot rock onto haul trucks or load rock into customer trucks. Materials will be transported throughout the quarry into piles, trucks or crushers depending on production requirements.
