Action Staffing Solutions is seeking experienced and compassionate Surgical Technologists to join our team. To be successful in this role, you will need to have a strong understanding of surgical technology and procedure. Experience with instrumentation is greatly preferred.Surgical Technologist ResponsibilitiesPreparing sterile operating rooms for surgeries.Sterilizing equipment and instruments.Stocking adequate supplies for surgery.Preparing patients for surgery by washing and disinfecting incision sites.Providing support during surgery by passing instruments and other supplies.Tracking surgical supplies.Staying up to date on surgical technology, medical terminology, and procedures.Working well with surgeons, surgical assistants, nurses and general surgical team.Helping provide great patient care.Surgical Technologist RequirementsA graduate of an accredited surgical technologist program and surgical technologist certification.Experience with instrumentation.Current BLS.Strong understanding of surgical technology and surgical procedure.Knowledge of medical terminology.Passionate about patient care.Must complete the onboarding and hiring process including background investigation(s) and drug screening; Backgrounds must be clear of felony convictions.Immunization Records - Hep B, TB test/chest x-ray, COVID-19 and influenza for the current season.Language: Ability to read, write and communicate in the English language required.Must have excellent critical thinking skills and the ability to assess situations to make independent, policy-compliant decisions.Experience: One year of experience in the current role.Physical RequirementsDue to the nature of facilities physical demands may vary between facilities and day to day, this is not an all-inclusive list.Must be able to see, hear and communicate.Must be able to use proper body positioning and body mechanics including to Regularly stand, sit, walk, run, climb, kneel, crouch, bend, twist.Dexterity and fine motor function including strength, control, lifting, reaching and tool usage.Must be able to lift 20 pounds frequently, up to 50 pounds infrequently, and lift or assist in lifting more than 50 pounds at times.Why Action Staffing?Dedicated recruiters ready to help you every step of the way.Competitive pay ensures that you're fairly compensated for your valuable skills and dedication.Local and travel opportunities.Flexible schedules available.Benefits include health, dental and vision insurance.About Action Staffing Solutions: Action Staffing Solutions is a local staffing agency that has a goal to make a difference in someone's life every day!
