The role is working directly for a global leader in offshore renewable energy development, construction and operations.This is a full-time, permanent staff position based in Boston (hybrid).RoleThe Planning Associate plays a crucial role in supporting the development and maintenance of project plans, ensuring consistency and realism while aligning with assessed risk parameters.Main Responsibilities:Assist in delivering and maintaining consistent and realistic plans and control structures for theproject.Support the development of activities, logic, resources, and progress for project workstreams.Assist in implementing and complying with planning and progress monitoring procedures.Contribute to monthly progress updates, forecasts, and trend analyses for assigned elements.Aid in assessing and incorporating the impact of approved changes and deviations from project targets.Collaborate with workstream leads to understand key schedule sensitivities and drivers.Support the development of contract key dates, milestones, and project schedule alignment.Contribute to the translation of the project's risk profile into probabilistic risk models.Assist in assessing project targets through internal and external benchmarking.Apply fit-for-purpose tools and procedures for offshore wind projects.RequirementsBachelor's Degree in Engineering or equivalent experience.Certification as a Planning Engineer is a plus.Minimum of 2-3 years of industry experience in planning positions.Familiarity with Planning principles and techniques.Basic knowledge of Primavera P6 is advantageous.Exposure to offshore projects is desirable.Effective communication and engagement skills.Behaviors:Ability to rapidly move between different assignments that have a wide variety of technical elements, carefully managing time and assignments.Very strong written and oral communication skills including proven ability to quickly review and edit complex documents.Attention to detail and a willingness to roll up their sleeves to come up with creative solutions.Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, meet competing deadlines, and work both independently and on teams.Strong sense of values and ethics, as well as confidentiality when dealing with sensitive information.Ability to thrive within and contribute to a collaborative, entrepreneurial, mutually supportive, team culture dedicated to producing high quality work products, and shared success.Ability to foster the development of a team culture that values perspectives and experiences of people from different backgrounds to drive better decisions and improved business results.Desired Skills and Experience"planner" "planning" "scheduling" "P6" "primavera" "project planner" project scheduler" "wind energy" "offshore wind" "planning enigneer"
