The Senior Research Analyst will serve as a co-investigator, lead lab and data analysis/management, as well as collaborate with a team of clinical research coordinators. The Senior Research Analyst will work directly with Allergy, Immunology and Pediatric Pulmonary Primary Investigators and play a leading role in authoring academic/research papers.ResponsibilitiesServes as a co-investigator on clinical trials and other investigator-initiated research.Oversees lab and data analysis and management.Collaborate with a team of clinical research coordinators who oversee clinical research and clinical trials for the Department of Pediatrics Applies research principles and relevant subject matter knowledge relevant to administer a research project. Helps develop, design and conduct research projects according to plan.Supports data collection and analytical needs of research projects. Conducts literature reviews and helps write reports and manuscripts. Utilizes programs such as SAS, SPSS, R, to run statistical data analyses. Ensures project compliance with different policies, procedures, directives, and mandates.Works in wet lab with patient samples, including preparation and storage.Takes responsibility for the following non-laboratory duties: transcribing and coding data; developing data collection instruments; presenting research; and recruiting and scheduling research subjects. UCPG provides the physician revenue cycle management for the medical services provided by these physicians.Job SummaryUniversity of Chicago Physicians Group (UCPG) is seeking a Coding Educator to assure that UCPG achieves the objective of CMS coding guidelines and adheres to the compliance program of the Medical Center.This person acts as a liaison between facilities, departments, providers and staff that use coded information and work with clinicians and health information management professionals to increase coding accuracy and appropriately depict the quality of care delivered.The qualified individual will work to achieve overall revenue cycle expectations that comply with larger UCPG organizational goals and Compliance Department expectations, as well as utilize project and people management skills, clinical practice knowledge, and an understanding of documentation and coding requirements to support improvement in practice processes and compliance.The Coding Educator provides support to providers and clinic staff for CPT, ICD-10-CM, and HCPCS coding systems, and acts as a liaison between the off-sites and departments and related educational activities around coding, billing and compliance.The job provides professional support and solves straightforward problems in projects related to revenue cycle operations, including activities related to charging, billing, and collecting.
