Providing support and program management for large net metered interconnections. Supporting Net Meter, wholesale and PURPA interconnection projects as needed. Processing interconnection applications for all levels of interconnection applications and provide technical support for peers. Performing technical reviews and complete interconnection studies for customer distributed generation applications. Provide leadership and strategic support for supplemental contractors supporting DER functions. Conducting technical research analysis and offer an interpretation of the results. Contributing to solutions by taking initiative to develop alternatives and recommendations. Offering ideas and suggestions to improve moderately complex technical processes and/or projects. Providing sound customer service by exceeding internal and external customer needs. Consistently anticipating and delivering results on a variety of job specific matters. Developing process improvements and efficiencies to improve work products and processes Supporting the storm response process, including support outside of standard business hours. Providing field and equipment audit and commissioning support as needed. Qualifications Bachelor's of Science degree in Electrical Engineering from an ABET accredited institution is required. Acceptable alternatives are: A Processional Engineer's (PE) License A bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering from a non-ABET accredited institution plus an advanced degree in engineering from a university with an ABET accredited Bachelor's program Minimum 0 - 5 years engineering experience is required. Engineer in Training (EIT) is a plus. Advanced degree, certification, and professional engineering license is a plus. Previous experience in DER interconnection review and/or distribution planning and protection job functions preferred. Possess an understanding of pertinent technical products and/or services and of customers' needs and expectations. Superior analytical and technical abilities. Proficient in Microsoft Office tools, including Teams, Excel, Access, PowerPoint and Word. Experience with SAP, CYME, LFDMS, EMS, TOAD/SQL, PLFS, and GISView is a plus. POSITION SUMMARY Perform/support a range of power system and engineering studies (all voltage levels, from basic to the most complex). Perform/support a variety of Field and Customer activities including data collection, one-line revisions, and electrical system analysis.
