The Oncology Nurse will support the Cincinnati regions' only adult FACT-accredited academic blood and marrow transplant program, delivering high-quality care to patients based on assessed needs, established standards of care and according to policy and procedures. The unit serves adult and geriatric hematology/oncology and bone marrow transplant patients across the care continuum, including terminal care. Diagnoses include solid tumor oncologic malignancies (e.g., hematologic malignancies and solid tumors, etc.) bone marrow/hematologic malignancies (e.g. Bone marrow transplant, sickle cell disease, ITP, MDS), and Gynecology/Oncology patients. This unit also provides care to medical-surgical overflow patients.
