The mission of BUILD program is to create and foster diverse, inclusive, and equitable learning and professional environments across the university through the design and implementation of programs, initiatives, and individual/departmental consultations. Level Scope: Directs through subordinate Managers multiple large and complex critical programs impacting broad constituencies across major portions of campus. Identifies objectives, manages very significant human, financial, and physical resources, and functions with an extremely high degree of autonomy. Accountable for formulating and administering policies and programs for major functions. Operational or program results can affect overall campus wide performance and reputation. Directs through subordinate Managers the development of strategic goals and objectives to achieve accountability and stewardship of university resources in a manner consistent with campus and system wide objectives and initiatives. Usually reports to one of the following: Associate/Assistant Vice President, Vice President or Provost. Essential Functions: 60% of Time the BUILD Director: Provides leadership and vision for the BUILD program, with a focus on the teaching/learning/professional environments for students, faculty and staff. Provides administrative direction and leadership of BUILD staff and programs. Plans and implements the campus BUILD certificate program. Work with campus partners to enhance BUILD offerings. Identify needs and programmatic opportunities to prepare faculty and staff growth in understanding and implementing inclusive and equitable practices. Plan and facilitate BUILD workshops and other professional development opportunities. Manage program budget. 35% of Time the BUILD Director: Collaborate with other campus units and/or serve on committees, work groups, etc. to create a more diverse, inclusive, and equitable campus community. Manage the outcomes, assessment and continuous improvement of BUILD programming. Consult with individual faculty and staff, departments/units seeking support for fostering on inclusive and equitable environments in teaching, learning and work spaces. 5% of Time the BUILD Director: Performs other duties as assigned. The VP of Medical Management is responsible for the Utilization Management (UM) and Care Management (CM) functions for health plan members.
