Job Summary:The Gas Engineer will work under general direction to advance high pressure/high purity cryogenic gas delivery systems, including development of improved high pressure pump systems, improving high purity test methods, supporting the design and installation of high purity systems, and managing technical oversight of bulk gas suppliers. This position involves customer support requiring regular maintenance and testing of gas supply systems at multiple locations including domestic and international travel.Responsibilities to Anticipate:Develop high pressure/high purity cryogenic gas delivery systemsInstall and test high pressure/high purity cryogenic gas delivery systemsInternational and domestic travel to service high pressure gas systemsProvide technical oversight of bulk gas suppliersDevelop test and preventive maintenance proceduresProvide technical support to mechanics in the testing and troubleshooting of gas delivery systemsReview and approve Test Position Manuals and Test Error Analysis ReportsBasic Qualifications:Typically requires a Bachelor's in science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) and minimum 2 years of prior relevant experience.Experience in product test, quality, or manufacturing with emphasis on quality complianceExperience with interpretation of mechanical drawingsThe ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued security clearance is required. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. The Phoenix team focuses primarily on Water/Wastewater projects and this position will support the technical development of proposals and designs. If your passion lays in project management, you will have opportunities to grow and develop those skills also. What will I be doing?Creating and developing written proposals. Some technical writing may also be required.Assisting in the development of water and wastewater design projects. This includes designing water distribution storage systems, wastewater collection systems, pumps stations, lift stations, piping and conveyance systems, and other water/wastewater system details. Some managing and coordinating deliverables from subcontractors, vendors, and partner consultants.Coordinating communication and the delivery of information between WestLand, our subcontractors, and our vendors with our clients.Learning how to initiate and develop relationships with current and future clients and vendorsWhat qualifications are required for this role?You will have a bachelor's degree and/or a master's degree in a related engineering discipline or in a related field.Preference will be given to those candidates that are registered (or have the ability to register) as a Professional Engineer (PE) in the State of Arizona.A minimum of two (2) years of experience working with water/wastewater systems (4+ years preferred).Excellent written and verbal communication skillsDemonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, Project, Outlook).The salary range for this position is $68,000 - $103,000.00 per year.
