Lead the overall propulsion design, development, and demonstration from concept to missile flight test.Cost and schedule responsibilities for suppliers within the Propulsion IPT.Ability to communicate both to the RMD leadership to provide program status, accomplishments, issues, and help needed, while ensuring program alignment and teamwork.Support proposal efforts with major suppliers while partnering with supply chain to define future contract scope, schedule, and program start up at the suppliers.Strong understand of earned value and supplier managementThe position is a hybrid role, and the selected applicant will work with the hiring manager to set schedule.Basic Qualifications:Bachelor's in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM), and eight (8) years of prior relevant experience or minimum 5 years with an advanced degree.Experience in airbreathing propulsion system design and/or production with particular emphasis in at least one of the following technical disciplinesDesign and development of the propulsion architecture including system performance analysisFuel delivery system, bladder, tank, and control subsystemComputational fluid dynamics (CFD) of the inlet, combustor (including kinetics), and nozzle including coupled fluid interactions e.g., shock, laminar, turbulent, boundary layer, etc.Thermal management systemsGround and flight testsExperience managing a team of 3 or more in a technical capacityThe ability to obtain and maintain a US security clearance prior to the start date.
