Ardurra is seeking an Instrumentation & Controls Designer to join our team Primary FunctionAs an Instrumentation and Control (I&C) Designer at Ardurra, you will be part of a growing family of I&C experts in the water and wastewater industry serving clients from coast to coast. I&C designer will be responsible for designing Piping and Instrumentation Diagrams (P&IDs) and related equipment for water and wastewater treatment, distribution, and collection system projects. Collaborate with other project team members to ensure the design meets project requirements, and that design modifications are addressed during the project lifecycle. Develop, data sheets, and other design documentation for procurement and construction. Stay up to date with industry trends, best practices, and new technologies related to instrumentation and control systems. Education and Experience Requirements Bachelor's degree in Engineering Technologies, Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics, or a related field from ABET accredited university, – or  Associate’s degree in Engineering Technologies, Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics, or a related field from ABET accredited university and 2 years of experience. Knowledge of AutoCAD is required, and familiarity with Plant 3D is desirable. Familiarity with electrical and control systems design, including experience in selecting and specifying instrumentation, control panels, and other related equipment. Knowledge of process control systems, including PLCs, DCS, and SCADA systems. Strong analytical skills and ability to solve problems independently. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. As an integral part of a growing design team, you'll collaborate with departments from across the organization to set a precedent for what a humanoid robot should be, who it should serve and execute on a collective vision. Responsibilities: Concept generation and ideation through 2D or 3D sketching, modeling and rendering. Developing concepts into refined CAD design data. Collaborate with engineering departments to iterate on and validate design concepts, offer creative solutions to complex problems and add refinement to tightly constrained structural components. Take a considered and strategic approach to design by working with departments across the organization to understand and develop product and user requirements. Create 3D printed prototypes of concepts for evaluation, critique and further development. Produce high-quality renders that aid in decision-making, as well as expressing your vision to the team and wider business. Requirements: Bachelor's degree in Industrial Design, Product Design, or equivalent field of study. Proven experience in industrial design with a strong portfolio showcasing tasteful, innovative and user-centric designs. Excellent concept generation and ideation skills. Proficiency in CAD software such as Fusion, Alias, Solidworks or equivalent. Strong 3D rendering skills (in tools such as Keyshot, Blender, Unreal Engine or equivalent) in order to visualize and communicate design proposals. Strong understanding of manufacturing processes, materials, and their implications on design. Nice-to-haves: Experience working alongside engineers on complex electromechanical products. Tasks and ResponsibilitiesDUTIES: Collaborate closely with product owners, process analysts, external UIUX designers, and solution architects to create innovative and engaging user experiences for various personas, for multiple capabilities on the transformation program roadmap.Design user interface mockups, user flows, and prototypes. Create design specifications, other documentation and sample codes for engineering implementation. Design UI and visual design language while adhering to existing Apple design standards.Create journey maps, flow diagrams, wireframes, mockups, style guides, prototypes, site maps, and other design artifacts to communicate design approach and to gain alignment across stakeholders.Gather input from stakeholders and draw on your extensive UX design knowledge and industry experience to distill project requirements into intuitive design that addresses clearly defined user needs.Present UX and visual designs to team and management while clearly articulating design rationale.
