Environmental Field Technician-Remediation

Based in Seattle, WA, we are offering the opportunity for a High School Graduate to join our team as an Environmental Field Operator/ Technician working with an interdisciplinary team. This position will require 100% field work. Working on a diverse range of projects, this role is a "hands on" field position requiring daily site visits and occasional travel in the West Region. Technicians support both large and small projects throughout the West. Work tasks will vary greatly, but may generally include: operations and maintenance, troubleshooting and oversight of remedial equipment including groundwater extraction systems, soil vapor extraction, dual phase extraction and related environmental remediation equipment, groundwater sampling and monitoring, environmental compliance documentation, contractor monitoring, environmental data collection, report/specifications production and regulatory standard interpretation. The Ideal candidate will have the following skills and experience: Strong mechanical diagnostic skills and aptitude Experience with pneumatic groundwater extraction pumps is preferred Ability to be a self-starter, flexible, team player, willing and able to work on a wide variety of tasks with minimal supervision Willingness to travel for up to a week at a time Adept at working with a multidisciplinary team in a diversity of challenging conditions Ability to perform physically demanding work for discrete periods of time Commitment to safety utilizing a behavior-based safety culture in all aspects of the job Ability to analyze field readings, data, and operating parameters to optimize system operations Ability to document activities in accordance with good field work practices.
