Carilion Clinic is searching for Geriatrics Specialist to join the Section of Palliative and Geriatric Medicine. The candidate will provide inpatient and emergency department observation unit consultation and geriatric emergency department (GeriED) consultative care at Carilion Roanoke Memorial Hospital, telehealth patient care serving other Carilion facilities in southwest Virginia.  The candidate may also deliver related follow-up consultative care at the outpatient Carilion Center for Healthy Aging.  Carilion Roanoke Memorial Hospital is a 703-bed teaching/tertiary care referral center and one of the largest and busiest Level 1 trauma centers in Virginia.Carilion Clinic is a physician-led, multi-specialty, not-for-profit healthcare organization based in Roanoke, VA. Palliative Care focuses on relief of symptoms and stressors of a serious illness. This position is regular part time, working 7a - 7p and 7p-7a with every other weekend and rotating holidays Successful candidate MUST BE able to attend required orientation classes during daytime hours, Monday through Friday, from 8 am to 5 pm for the first 2 weeks.
