Field Service Tech (Mechanic), typically work Monday-Friday 6am-3:30pm. In this position, you will troubleshoot and diagnose problems on various types of heavy equipment and make necessary repairs to the equipment. POSITION SUMMARY A Field Technician is responsible for assisting in start-up commissioning, integration, emergency service and troubleshooting of Vertiv electrical switchgear 480VAC/15KVAC, including PDU, ATS, PDC, circuit breakers, protective relays, plc, meters and other automated devices as well as mechanical repairs and modifications under the direction of senior technicians. The FT is required to establish, promote, and maintain excellent rapport with all customers, co-workers, sales representatives and others as appropriate. Troubleshoots and adjusts products in the field.Use and work on ladder or scaffolding.Will need to manually or with the use of a forklift, load/unload materials on/off trucks.Records and reports details of damaged or broken parts.Remove damaged or defective parts or sections of structures and repair and replace, using power or hand tools.Documents service and installation actions by completing forms, reports, logs and records.When driving company vehicle, report vehicle defects, accidents, traffic violations or damage to the vehicle; Check vehicle to ensure mechanical, safety and emergency equipment is in good working order.Demonstrate decision-driving skills by safely delivering products in a timely manner in accordance with DOT regulations and damage-free.Perform other duties and responsibilities as required and assigned.
