*Seeking an experienced Driver Manager* Job Summary: Direct the activities of the over the road drivers within the Department of Transportation (DOT) regulatory guidelines and company policies. Job Duties: Work with the Export and Import Departments to obtain load assignments for drivers. Coordinate the pickup and delivery of loads using assigned drivers in compliance with the hours-of-service regulations and ensure live loads, direct deliveries, and Last Free Day (LFD) containers are prioritized. Confirm load completion and update dispatch related databases and spreadsheets in a timely manner to prevent delays in container deliveries and ensure all documents are scanned in a timely manner. Monitor and track driver positions; know location and status of each assigned driver. Keep close tabs on appointment delivery drivers. Encourage and dispatch drivers to ensure each driver averages 2.75 turns (equivalent to 2131 miles) per week promoting fairness (that not all the same drivers are live loading). Resolve driver issues. Track and log driver complaints, concerns, service failures, counseling, and feedback in driver profile database. Attend Monthly Driver Manager meetings and Quarterly Driver Safety meetings. Schedule: Monday Through Friday 8 AM to 5 PM or As Scheduled Pay: $50,000 - 55,000 (Annualized +Bonus) Requirements: Must have intermediate computer skills to navigate and update Truckmate database and Microsoft Office. Must possess clear and concise verbal communication skills and be knowledgeable of Federal Motor Carrier Safety Regulations (FMCSRs) regarding hours of service.
