Indirect Tax Manager (temp-to-perm) with a publicly-traded global industry leader.SummaryThe contract period is expected to run through the end of 2024, converting to full-time in 2025.ResponsibilitiesAssist the Tax Director with sales and use tax requirements. Assist with indirect tax savings (utility tax refunds, manufacturing exemptions, etc.). Proactively prepare, gather, analyze, and format materials for sales and use tax, VAT, tax compliance, and reverse audits. Prepare independently annual business personal property tax returns. Assist in the configuration and maintenance of Vertex O series, OneSource Sales and Use Tax engine, and OneSource (property tax). Independently prepare tax work papers, self-review of work product supporting filing of state and local tax returns for accuracy. Perform global monthly indirect tax account accruals, reconciliations, and related journal entries. Respond to complex tax inquiries or matters from internal/external sources without supervision. Independently complete tax research on new indirect tax incentives to reduce Company EBITDA. Provide financial data for business license tax filings. Coordinate mail received from vendors and taxing authorities for the tax department. Lead or assist as needed on domestic governmental audits (sales and use tax audits and property tax audits).
