Job Description:Mars Wrigley - TNN Site Chattanooga, TNLifeSaver Mints Processing Operator-TowerB Shift (12 Hour Night Shift) 2-2-3 Shift Rotation*$1,500 Sign On Bonus for external hires only*The LifeSaver Mints (LSM) Processing Operator is responsible for the operation of the high speed dryer, mixers and blenders as well as the overall performance of the entire Processing Line. The LSM Processing Operator will perform all jobs throughout the Processing Line to provide direction, communication and support to all the line associates and leadership in order to meet line requirements.The LSM Processing Operator Processing Operator will safely and efficiently make LifeSaver mints. The LSM Processing Operator is responsible for operating automated and/or manual manufacturing equipment used to produce mints following the established manufacturing procedures and prescribed formulas with exactness. They will complete two-hour quality checks while also maintaining production targets in processing. The job exists to fulfil customer requirements for all LifeSaver mints. Operators are also responsible for on time and accurate hourly quality checks, escalation for downtime, and maintenance of equipment. Job Accountabilities • Perform general housekeeping duties including cleaning out blenders, extruders and hoppers, cleaning the conveyor belts as well as cleaning up excess ingredients around the processing equipment.• Complete frequent observation of work-in-process and the completion of required recording, such as Quality Checks.• Independently operate processing machines and produce a quality mint product in a team-based environment.• This position will be required to cross train in various positions in the processing department.Skills Required• High school diploma or equivalent• 2+ years of experience in a manufacturing environment• Basic math skills required to calculate ingredients• Ability to re ad, write, and communicate in basic work-related English • Pallet jack operation• Participate as a team player in accomplishing all company goals and objectives• Mixing or related experience preferredPhysical requirements:• Frequent lifting/carrying of containers (up to 50lbs.)• Frequent bending/kneeling/crouching/twisting • Frequent standingWhat can you expect from Mars?
